The Immitter team sifts through hundreds of hours of tracks per week to curate our weekly sponsored playlists.

The Immitter algorithm helps our curation team quickly pin point interesting, high quality tracks for paid promotion weekly.  

To give your tracks the highest chances of entering our weekly sponsored playlists the Immitter curation team put together a list of things to avoid when uploading your newest tracks.

If you're looking for a sponsored playlist feature, below are 5 factors to consider when submitting tracks to the Immitter.

1. Sound Quality

We’re serious about only delivering the best quality to our network of labels, listeners, subscribers and fans.  When uploading to the Immitter, please make sure your tracks are mixed (and if you can, mastered) to be on the safe side. Many times the Immitter team comes across tracks that they would love to promote but unfortunately the sound quality falls below our distribution standard.  The worst thing ever is hearing a song at normal volume and the next song blows your speakers out.

2. Profanity

Many advertising platforms will deny media that contains sexual and explicit content. Each playlist we release is promoted through paid channels, each with their own rules and restrictions. To give yourself the best chance of being promoted, please think twice before uploading explicit sound files. If removing profanity from your tracks is not an option, please consider uploading both the explicit and edited version.

3. Content outside of weekly theme

You might have a really great Christmas track, but if it’s not Christmas then most likely your track will not be featured. Same goes for genre, a hardcore beat driven track might not mesh well with an acoustic themed playlist selected for that week.

4. Copyright & Permission flags

Are you sure you own that track? Red flags like beat tags from instrumentals you downloaded, artist features from signed acts that did not give you copyright permission or even using background music or song covers of copyrighted tracks could stop the Immitter from sponsoring your tracks.

5. Streams, Downloads and Ranking

Obtaining a high chart placement does NOT guarantee access to our weekly sponsored playlists.  Immitter's paid promotional service is not a popularity contest.  Our curation team meticulously and strategically pick tracks based on perceived quality and not based on metrics such as Streams, Downloads and Ranking.  However, obtaining a high chart position will likely work towards your favor than against, because higher ranked tracks are more easily accessible to the Immitter curation team thus giving you a leg up on tracks of equal quality lower in chart rank.  The higher your chart position the greater your chances of being chosen for upcoming playlists, but it is in no way a guarantee.
